Matt Gandrud, President Elect

Matt is the owner of a State Farm Agency here in New Braunfels. He opened his office in November of 2017. He has been a member of the Jaycees and on the philanthropy committee since that time in 2017.

Matt was born and raised in Minnesota. He always has had a huge love for sports, in high school he was a 3 sport student athlete (football, baseball, basketball). He was able to continue his athletic career when he was offered a scholarship to play wide receiver for the Bemidji State University Beavers. He graduated with two degrees, one in Business Administration and the other in Sport Management. Matt moved to Texas in 2014 and has loved every second of it.

Matt also volunteers with several non-profits in town such as the New Braunfels Food Bank, Communities in Schools, and Room Redux to mention a few. He also serves as a board member for SJRC Texas, New Braunfels Small Business Week – New Braunfels Chamber, Professionals Resolving Obstacles (PRO), and the Downtown Board.

Some of the honors Matt has received over the past few years are in 2019 he was named a Rising Star of New Braunfels (Top 20 young professionals under 40 years old), in 2020 he was named the Jaycee of the year, in 2021 Matt graduated from Leadership New Braunfels, and in 2022 he received his Blue Coat from the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce and also graduated from New Braunfels’ City University Program.
